Features released: Scaling configuration is essentially an ECS instance configuration that scaling groups have relied on for a long period of time. Considering the release of the Launch Template for configuring the persistent ECS instance in your console, Auto Scaling adds Launch Template as an instance configuration source. You can quickly select a launch template to automatically create a scaling configuration for the scaling group. You can create a new Launch template through the ECS billing page and the Launch Template page. You can also choose Instance Settings > Save as Launch Template to create a new Launch Template when an ECS instance already exists. Then, you can quickly create a scaling group using the Launch Template. Auto Scaling offers simplified operations with the added benefit of dynamic scaling for your ECS instances.
