Target customers: ApsaraDB RDS for SQL Server users. Features released: Support for restoring databases from OSS using SQL Server AlwaysOn. Firstly, you are required to backup self-built data using a Microsoft official backup tool and generate backup files, including full backup file, differential backup files, and log files. Then, you must upload the backup file to OSS, which must be located in the same region as RDS for SQL Server. Finally, in the RDS console, you can restore backup files to RDS using this feature. This feature enables you to migrate self-built databases to RDS. With Alibaba Cloud native technologies, same versions are all fully compatible. Meanwhile, the time of a business stop for migration is at the minute level to help support incremental back up of different backup and log files.
