MaxComputeMaxCompute supports the MSCK REPAIR TABLE operation on an external table to add partitions to the table, which simplifies DDL operations on external tables.

Target customers: Alibaba Cloud MaxCompute customers. Features released: After you import data to OSS, the data is stored in a file that has a save path in the format of oss://xxx/table-location/ptname1=ptvalue1/ptname2=ptvalue2/xxx. If you create an external table and then execute msck repair table external_table_name [add partitions] on the table, the SQL engine automatically parses the file directory, identifies partitions, and adds the partitions to the created table.
