Target customers: users who have enabled dedicated proxies, and users who have read-only RDS instances that are created to offload traffic. Features released: ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL provides the dedicated proxy feature. This feature provides advanced capabilities, such as read/write splitting, connection pool, and transaction splitting. This feature allows users to connect to RDS instances by using proxy endpoints. The proxy endpoints can implement SSL encryption to protect data in transit. SSL encryption is supported only for dedicated proxy versions of 1.12.8 and later. In addition, SSL encryption is supported only for the following MySQL versions on RDS High-availability Edition with local SSDs and a minor engine version of 20200831 or later: MySQL 8.0, MySQL 5.7, and MySQL 5.6.
