Elastic Container Instance (ECI) - Automatically Enables a Core Dump in the Console

By default, Elastic Container Instance disables core dumps. Elastic Container Instance can automatically enable a core dump in the console to help developers temporarily debug programs.

Target customers: all users. Features released: In a Linux machine, if a program unexpectedly terminates or stops, the operating system generates a core dump file. The developer can view and analyze the core dump file to troubleshoot the issue. By default, Elastic Container Instance disables core dumps to prevent service interruption caused by disk overload. To help developers debug problems, Elastic Container Instance automatically enables a core dump in the console. After the O&M task is performed and a core file is obtained, core dump is disabled. The O&M task is valid for 12 hours.
